About Ashava the Pestilent

Ashava the Pestilent is the original Diablo 4 world boss, first met during the open beta and still the most recognisable of the four. She is a towering plague dragon whose poison breath and blade-like forelimbs punish melee stacking. Like every world boss she appears on a fixed 3.5-hour spawn clock, with two back-to-back spawns every 28-hour rotation.
How Ashava's spawn time is calculated
Every Diablo 4 world boss spawns on one global clock: one spawn every 3.5 hours (210 minutes), counted from the verified anchor spawn at . The four bosses rotate in pairs โ Wandering Death ร2 โ Avarice ร2 โ Ashava ร2 โ Azmodan ร2 โ so one full rotation is 8 spawns, or 28 hours.
- Ashava's rotation slots: 5 and 6 of 8. Ashava follows Avarice and is followed by Azmodan.
- Pattern: two back-to-back Ashava spawns 3.5 hours apart, then a 21-hour gap before the next pair. Each pair lands 4 hours later in the day than the previous one.
- Next two Ashava spawns (UTC): and . The live countdown above converts these to your time zone.
- Confidence: the spawn time is exact. The first spawn of a pair sits on a rotation boundary where trackers occasionally disagree, so it is labelled "predicted"; the second is "on cycle". Confirm in-game one hour before via the map icon.

Ashava mechanics
- Poison pools: Ashava spits plague that leaves green pools on the ground. Standing in them stacks Poisoned damage over time, so step out immediately.
- Sweeping spin: a wide 360ยฐ blade sweep that hits everyone in melee range. Watch the wind-up and back off or dash through it.
- Arm blades: filling her Stagger bar breaks one of her arm blades, shrinking the sweep's reach for the rest of the fight. Stagger her twice and both blades are gone.
- Below 50% HP the attacks get wider and more frequent. Keep moving and spread out so one sweep does not down the whole group.

Tips for the Ashava fight
- Arrive 3โ5 minutes early. On lower Torment tiers Ashava can die within seconds of appearing.
- Stay out of green. Poison pools do more damage than her direct hits for most builds.
- Save Stagger-heavy skills for her arm blades: each broken blade makes the sweep far easier to avoid.
- Ranged builds should kite around the arena edge; melee builds should dodge through the sweep rather than away from it.
